Prince Charles says The Queen is ‘all right’ but admits ‘it’s not as easy as it used to be once you get to 95’ as monarch returns to public duties after pulling out of Remembrance Sunday service at last minute

  • Prince Charles, 73, and Camilla, 74, arrived in Amman, Jordan, on Sunday for a four-day Middle Eastern tour
  • Told reporter told The Queen is ‘doing alright’ after she was unable to attend the annual ceremony at the Cenotaph and also the Church of England’s national assembly yesterday
  • In Jordan, Charles and Camilla enjoyed a walking tour of archaeological ruins, accompanied by Jordan’s  Princess Dana Firas – with the Prince planting a tree to mark strong relations between the country and the UK  
  • This afternoon, it was back to the capital: the Duchess met students and teachers at the Princess Taghreed Secondary Girls School in the city before heading to host a Women of the World Foundation (WOW) event 
  • Meanwhile, Prince Charles paid a visit to the Al Nuzha Community Centre, hearing the stories of refugees
  • Tonight pair attended a Centenary Celebration of the founding of the Jordanian state at the Jordan Museum
